Privacy policy and personal data protection

1 . IDENTITY OF THE DATA CONTROLLER

In accordance with French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on Data Processing, Data Files and Individual Liberties, in its latest version, known as the "Data Processing and Individual Liberties" Law and the European Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data (GDPR) No. 2016/679, personal data ("PD") collected on our site are processed automatically by PIARC, located at the address indicated below, the data controller.

 

2 . PIARC MEMBERS

The collected PD are processed by PIARC, on the basis of the User's consent, in order to:

  • meet its request for registration as a member of the Association, by using the appropriate form
  • send him the claim for an annual membership fee, in accordance with PIARC's statutes
  • send him information and invitations, in accordance with PIARC's statutes

 

3 . VISITORS TO THE SITE

The collected PD are processed by PIARC, on the basis of the User's consent, in order to:

  • answer his questions or requests sent via the "contact" form
  • respond to his/her request to register as a "Visitor" to the site, using the appropriate form
  • manage the technical subjects of interest to each "Visitor" and on which he/she will receive information
  • send "Visitors" information about PIARC's activities by e-mail or by the "Newsletter".

 

4 . RECIPIENTS OF PD

PD are intended for PIARC and its authorized staff.

PD are not disclosed to third parties with the exception of:

  • Third parties hosting the Site or intervening in the content or management of the Site.
  • Partners with whom PIARC organizes the World Road Congress and the International Winter Road Congress.

 

5 . PD MANAGEMENT

The User can manage the information concerning him/her from the space provided on the Site.

This concerns in particular the technical subjects of interest to the User and the information he/she wishes to receive from PIARC, as well as his/her contact details.

 

6 . PD SECURITY

PIARC implements state-of-the-art security measures to ensure the security, integrity and confidentiality of the PD collected on the Site for the time necessary for their processing, in accordance with applicable law.

 

7 . RETENTION PERIOD OF PD

The PD are kept by PIARC for the period necessary to achieve the purposes described above, plus the legal prescription periods in force.

 

8 . DELETING PD

The User may unsubscribe from the status of "Visitor" or "Member" by writing to PIARC:

The User may request that his "Visitor" or "Member" accounts be completely deleted by writing to PIARC:

9 . USERS' RIGHTS

Under the conditions provided for by the applicable regulations, the User has a right of access, rectification and opposition, as well as the right to withdraw his/her consent at any time without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing carried out before his/her withdrawal, a right of portability, erasure, limitation and the right to define guidelines relating to the conservation, erasure and communication of his PADs after his death.

These rights can be exercised with PIARC:

The User also has the possibility to lodge a complaint with CNIL (the French Data Protection Authority)
